1004km behind, 1890km to go and it haven’t been a full joyride. We took off from Sydney last Monday around 3p.m. The journey started with a battery problem, which delayed our departure and put a sour taste in our mouth from the beginning on. Another long flight is over. We waved goodbye to Thailand with all the good memories and flew to Sydney. Flight went smoother than the previous one, some movies, food, games, more food and no sleep. Big plus for Thai airlines, for larger leg space and better head sets. Continue Reading
From Chiang Mai, we rented a car and drove even more towards North, to the border of Myanmar (Burma), to a mountain town called Pai. It was a slow and extremely winding road with steep up’s and down’s. Just like a badly planned project. Continue Reading

We had some lovely days in Chiang Mai. Got to see the Saturday market, taste some nice street foods and soak the relaxed atmosphere of the old town. Our local guide drove us around the old town’s temples and statues, showed the gates to the city and told, with his limited English, about the life in the city. Continue Reading

8 hours and 45 minutes flight from Istanbul to Bangkok. (Starting 8pm, and arriving at 9am with the time difference.) That’s 3 to 4 movies or some good night sleep for others, but this time I wasn’t able to fully enjoy any of those. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t the kids.
Last 3 week’s trip was a warm up for us. We have been traveling in Turkey, visiting places, family & friends we haven’t seen a while.
You ever dream about a place where all the pieces just floats together. Place where you can feel the warmth and generosity of Mediterranean home. Where you can enjoy good company of your host and meet other lucky ones who have found this beautiful place. Continue Reading
