We are Finnish / Turkish multinational family of four. We packed our bags and hit the road for next 4 months. In this blog we will write about our adventures.

Nico is a Finnish Designer & Sailing Enthusiast living in Istanbul. He met Zeynep while studying International Design Business Management in Aalto University School of Design. Nico spent 7 years designing products for metal and marine industry. In Finland, he has been racing in Formula 18 class as part Fast Forward sailing team. Since the family moved to Istanbul, Nico has been sailing in ORC class, with Bolt 37, team DUE.

Zeynep is a Turkish designer working as Service Design Director in Fjord. She is right now in sabbatical leave. Zeynep moved to Helsinki in 2002 to study for couple of years but fell in love with this interesting country and with Nico.. After 10 years, she found herself as a design leader in digital industry, having a Finnish husband and 2 wonderful daughters and she thought it was time to move back to her home city, Istanbul. Zeynep loves playing games, spending time with her friends and developing herself intellectually, creatively and spiritually.

Lara Mey is 5 years old. She can speak Finnish, Turkish, a bit English and her invention Nothingish. She is a social butterfly and loves to meet new people. Her name means water fairy in Turkish, so she believes she will fly one day.  When she grows up, she wants to become a doctor/ pilot and will take care of princesses. She loves swimming and eating ice cream.

Ada Lena is 3 years old. She is a bit shy and will only talk to certain people. She recently learned to swim without floats and she is very proud of that. She doesn’t like to be called princess. Ada loves horses, elephants and cats. Ada is a strong minded, independent character, her older sister Lara is the only person who can tell her what to do..
