Saying goodbye at 6am to Rudy, we started driving to catch the ferry to Tangalooma island. After 3 wrong turns and missing some exits, we managed to arrive in the harbor at 06:59, and miraculously got on the boat which leaves at 7am.
We actually wanted to see the Fraser Island, however we decided to skip that, because of the timing and expensive prices. Tangalooma is less famous but similar type of resort with nice beach activities for the whole family. We spent our day kayaking, snorkeling, sup boarding and participating in a fish feeding boat trip to the nearby ship wrecks/artificial reefs. Lara figured out snorkeling surprisingly fast, while Ada was mostly focusing her own beach passion, building sand castles…
On the ferry while going back, Ada and Lara were performing loudly and passionately several theater plays to us and others. We didn’t want to stop them really, thinking the 16h drive we had in front of us. Selfishly, we thought, it is better that they disturb couple of Aussies now, instead of driving us nuts in the car. Sorry for that folks.
