Last 3 week’s trip was a warm up for us. We have been traveling in Turkey, visiting places, family & friends we haven’t seen a while.
Our route went from Istanbul down to Izmir, Cesme and Alacati, then to Bodrum and as last to Bozburun. On the way back we stayed also couple of days in Tuzla. All together we drove over 2000 km, filled the tank and took a wrong route twice and saw cows, goats, sheep and wild bores on the road.
In this map you can see our route. Nothing extreme, but helped us to adjust our selves and our daily practicalities.
We learned that keeping the clothes clean and dry will be one of the most difficult tasks while we are on the road. We also practiced the “luggage life”, like how to pack and and change socks with out exploding the stuff around and realized which clothes were more useful than others. It was great to see that there were still some extra stuff which we were able to leave behind..
So, now when we are finally sitting in the Ataturk airport, waiting for our flight to Bangkok, we can proudly inform that our two big luggages weights all together 36,8kg, backpack is 9,7kg and smallest one is 2kg.
Total 48,5kg and there is 1kg cheese, 800g sucuk and other souvenirs which will be delivered to Bangkok.
We wil be 10 days in Thailand, then 1 month in Australia, 1 month in New Zealand and 1 month in USA.
Off we go, see you!!

Yolunuz acik olsun. Enjoy your adventure …much love, Samiye

Very impressive parking there. We usually need twice as much baggage every time we visit family in Poland or Finland. I am ready for my DIY bike repair course after eating my durum kebab. Maybe one day I will cross Turkey on my bike using your route. Hugs. One night in Bangkok..🎤
